We decided to make a fully exposing guide on the best Instagram export settings. If you need to post to Instagram video, photo or stories of the highest quality, check this out. Find out how to export to Instagram from After Effects, Premiere Pro, Final Cut and Davinci Resolve
1. When you are ready to export, go to Composition menu on the top and select “Add to Adobe Media Encoder Render Queue…” (to render video in H.264 format using Adobe After Effects, a Adobe Media Encoder is required)
2. In Media Encoder click on Format Settings, it will open Render Settings window:
3. Set AAC as audio format. In opened window you need to set up everything before the export - H.264 format, choose output location and hit “Ok” and then “Render”:
4. To control file size you can edit the bitrate setting, 3500 kbps (3,5 Mbps) bitrate for video would be the most minimal for story, 5000 kbps (5 Mbps) is recommended. The higher the bitrate, the better the video quality, but the file size will also increase:
1. When you are ready to export video go to File → Export → Media:
2. In Export Settings window you need to set up output video and audio. Select H.264 format, You can use 30 fps or 60 fps as well.
3. To control file size you can edit the bitrate setting, 3500 kbps (3,5 Mbps) bitrate for video would be the most minimal for story, 5000 kbps (5 Mbps) is recommended. The higher the bitrate, the better the video quality, but the file size will also increase:
4. When you are done click Export.
1. To export video from Final Cut Pro go to File → Share → Master File or Click on the Export button on the top right corner:
2. In opened window go to Settings tab:
3. Choose Apple Devices, H.264 video codec and AAC audio codec and then you can save video:
1. To export video from DaVinci Resolve go to Deliver tab (the last one on the bottom list):
2. Here choose MP4 as Video Format, as Codec select H.264. In Audio tab choose AAC audio codec, choose name and location:

4. After all sets are done click “Add to Render Queue” and hit “Render”:
